As the browser wars continue, we have entered a period where the number of browsers with greater than a 2% market share is up to 7 (from 5 for the past few years).
Two new browsers (Chrome and IE8) have been added to the priority 1 and 2 list as of Spring 2009. IE7 is dropping quickly, while Firefox 2 is losing share more slowly. Safari continues to slowly gain users, while IE6 and Firefox 3 showed very little movement.
