Gravity Switch, Inc.
is proud to be recognized as the top web design firm in Western
Massachusetts. The highly creative and top-notch firm swept the Website
Design category in this year's Creative Merit Awards, the gala event
put on annually by the Ad Club of Western Massachusetts.
The Creative Merit Awards recognize services and industries in Western
Massachusetts that contribute to the community's creative graphic
communications.
Gravity Switch took home the Gold for Score! Website redesign, 2 Silvers for Aqua Arts e-Commerce Website and Rawbeam's web site, a Bronze for Smith College Libraries Redesign, and an Honorable Mention for its own website redesign, www.gravityswitch.com. One judge commented, "This shop has consistently produced the best web work that I've seen in this show."

This year's 100
plus entries were judged with the highest criteria in terms of the
presentation of creative excellence as it relates to marketing
communications. The judging panel consisted of two award-winning and
highly acclaimed creative professionals from the New England
communications industry, Kathleen Parr and Jim Faris.
Kathleen
Parr, is a senior writer at The VIA Group in Portland, Maine where she
leads the writing team for Banknorth Group advertising and
merchandising. Before joining VIA two years ago, Kathleen worked for 15
years as a freelance copywriter in New York and Maine.
Jim
Faris, has years of experience as a creative director and interactive
designer. He is an owner of several prestigious awards himself,
including MIMC Awards, Hatch Awards and a CLIO. Now Jim works mostly in
the web strategy and online world. He has a strong background in
traditional design and illustration and currently owns the company
named From Top Down.
