Some things are inevitable. The leaves changing, the earth turning, and the holiday decorations going up the day after Halloween. Some things are driven by choice. This year it seems we got into that better part of the celebration early.
Every two weeks we sit down as a company and brainstorm ideas. The only rules are that it must take less than an hour and cost less than $50. One of the fruits of this labor late this summer was the idea to donate to one charity each month. It would be just a small amount... but each of us would pick a month and choose a charity.
So far we have chosen:
- University of Maryland Center for Celiac Research
- Food Bank Farm
- Greater Holyoke Boys and Girls Club
- Shelter Sunday
And we intend to keep going. Soon the sun will be setting before the work day is through, but we've added some warmth to our thoughts before we've had a chance to feel the true winter cold.
