The Position

We're looking for someone who is both a talented web designer and has experience managing projects/clients. We have very high standards and are open to talking to designers of all experience levels.  We expect the job to be 50% client interaction and 50% design, although that ratio could change based on your experience level.

Your main job responsibilities will be to:

  • Work with our awesome team of developers, designers and managers to make some fantastic websites
  • Excite existing and prospective clients about their websites
  • Create stunning designs with our other designers that can win prestigious national Awards
  • Manage projects (timeline, client expectations, development team, budget, etc.)
  • Assist with proposal writing and presentation
  • Understand how web design is different than other forms of design, and apply it correctly
  • Be accountable for your own work, and support other people in doing their work

Other Less Frequent Duties will include:

  • Design iPad/iPhone/Android Screens
  • Design logo or print materials
  • Update internal marketing documents (Proposals, Powerpoints, etc.)
  • Be an overall helpful presence in the office

A Junior Level Designer might also be called upon to help with office and reception tasks 5-10 hours a week as they hone their skills.

The right person MUST:

  • Thrive with deadlines
  • Believe that the process of client feedback makes a design stronger
  • Be outgoing
  • Be detail oriented (tell us if you got straight A's in school)
  • Be great at followup
  • Be proficient in Photoshop
  • Have some sales experience
  • Be confident and easy to talk to
  • Like to be challenged

It's an added plus if you can hack CSS to make headings, lists, etc. or if you have other applicable skills such as Search Engine Optimization or web copy writing experience.
