One winter, Christine casually started a conversation about a local band whose music we like, and asked us if they ever got around to recording a few acoustic songs that we have heard live many times and love.
A few weeks later for their Anniversary Christine handed Jason (her husband) a CD with MP3s of these songs. As a bonus surprise, she had done backup vocals for them!
If you enjoy acoustic folky music, you should check them out:
- Fun for a Good Time.mp3 - I always think of this song as "I alone"
- Pirate.mp3 - The line "All this stress so petty, all this worry for money, and if this is all it's cracked up to be, I think I'd rather be a Pirate" reminds me of my mom who's favorite song of all time is "I won't grow up" from Peter Pan).
- Pan Song.mp3
