Getz & Kosakowski, P.C. (OGK) is an internationally known law firm
based in Springfield Mass. OGK specializes in patent, trademark, and
unfair competition law.
Brains, Details, and Entrepreneurship
Patent lawyers are engineers by training, which ensures not only
smarts, but a strong commitment to detail as well. Combine those
engineering and law degrees with a healthy dose of personality, and you
get the team at OGK.
Two years ago, as they formed their business, OGK came to Gravity
Switch to help them design a website (above) that was both professional
enough to speak to corporate lawyers and also dynamic enough to speak
to the inventors applying for patents. The project time line was
fairly short and the site launched on New Year's Day.
Not Your Mother's Make Over
Since their inception, OGK has continued to grow and more clearly
defined their niche. They've also welcomed a new addition to the
firm (Patrick Markey). As 2006 drew to a close, OGK decided to
redesign the website as part of an overall branding exercise.
According to OGK, there was no doubt that Gravity Switch would be the
key player in the website redesign.
Our design objectives were similar to the original design - we needed
something vibrant and reputable - but we also needed something that
would illustrate OGK's continued growth as a company. Over the
course of our meetings, we pinned down a theme of "motion" that ran
through their work, their customers, and their hobbies (fast cars,
airplanes, marathon running and hockey).
The project timeline was again, very short and we went live with the
updated site on New Year's day 2007, 2 years to the date of their first
website.
